Body modification

Body modification interests me because there are a lot of things I wouldnt have imagined the body was capable of doing, for example the strength of ones ears to such a level as the above image implies, seemed impossible to me, until of course I saw it in the flesh (no pun intended).

There are all sorts of different types of body modifications, and as the shock value of different types goes down, I would not be suprised to see people taking it another step beyond what I would imagine the body is capable of ( http://www.bodymod.org/home.aspx ).
